Invinsible shelf. You might think of a transparent fibreglass bookshelf, right? Think again… REALLY invinsible… or rather you were tricked into thinking it is invinsible. Actually, your eyes do not deceive you - it really does look like the books are floating, as if by magic, on the wall. That’s because the Self Shelf is actually a shelf disguised as a book.

The only thing that gave away the fact that Self Shelf is not all that it seems is the book’s title because “Ceci n’est pas un livre” means “this is not a book”. PLUS the author goes by the name of S.E.L.F. Shelf.

The dimension of this shelf is approximately 22cm (W) x 5cm (H) x 15cm (D) and it can holds up to 4 kg of books (not that much for a bookworm like me). Although the designs might fend off all those manga lovers, it is still a good catch for any extreme minimalist (Me! Me!). And it is certainly a conversational piece (and probably controversial too!).
