The world’s fastest, smallest mobile chip

South Korea’s Hynix Semiconductor announced it has developed the world’s fastest and smallest one-gigabyte chip for mobile phones.
The new chip is capable of processing 1.6 GB of data per second, the company said. The company added that the chip-which can be applied to “ultra-small electronic devices and memory products”-would start production on a large scale [...]

Nokia recalls faulty battery

Nokia, on Tuesday called back the Nokia branded BL-5C battery manufactured by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co Ltd between December 2005 and November 2006.
The mobile phone manufacturer has identified that ‘in very rare cases” the Nokia branded BL-5C
batteries could “experience overheating initiated by a short circuit while charging…”
The Phone company has several suppliers for BL-5C batteries [...]
